There is a restaurant, located in the East Village of New York City, called Caracas Arepa Bar. It's on 7th Street at 1st Avenue, and they serve Venezuelan arepas.
So for lunch today I had arepas @ Caracas. The picture displays "la sureña" (the southern arepa), with parchita juice (passion fruit). La sureña consists of the corn-based arepa, filled with chicken, beef, and chorizo, and slices of avocado; I added some salsa picante. This is one of my favorite places to eat, even if they are loisaida-small.
Around the corner from Caracas is Ruben's Empanadas, another favorite of mine.
